MEYRU
Meyru is a New York City rock band with a fresh take on nostalgic indie rock. Made up of two cousins and their lifelong friend, the group plans to release their debut album “Good To See You” in early 2019. The crew’s indie pop melodies, bolstered by intricate guitar leads and driving bass were quickly grasped by local crowds leading to a series of sold out shows at NYC Venues such as Mercury Lounge, The Bowery Electric, Pianos, and The Bitter End. After becoming known for their energetic live shows the band spent a month in the mountains of North Carolina where they recorded their debut album in the basement of an abandoned church with the help of Brooklyn based producer, Tyler Brown, and mastering engineer, Dan Millice (A$AP Rocky, Al Green, 50 Cent). The band is currently gearing up to tour the rest of the country.
"Meyru’s new track "Running Day Dreams” meshes an Interpol-like post-punk presence with a grunge-friendly vocal feel, resulting in a bustling and melodic effort that shows the NYC rockers’ numerous strengths" - Obscure Sound.
